Sometimes working in a public library makes me feel like I'm living in a book pond with all types of wonderful reads swirling around me but often just beneath the water's surface. This blog lets me share the books that have caught my attention lately and helps me keep track of all the fun reads we're reeling in at the branch.
About Me
My name is Sarah and I work at a public library in Georgia. I'm working on a master's degree in Library and Information Science and hope to finish in the summer of 2012. Obviously I enjoy reading, particularly non-fiction, memoirs, children's literature and picture books. When it comes to fiction, I am hard pressed to pick up anything in the genres of sci-fi, fantasy, mystery, suspense, romance or horror. Being one of Garrison Keillor's oft joked about English majors in undergrad., it's hard to pull myself away from literary leanings when I pick up fiction, but some chick-lit can be found on my shelves. Having been born and raised in the South, I do enjoy southern lit. now and again. Regardless of what your pleasure reading likes, I hope you find something here that spurs you to visit your neighborhood library and check out what's just washed up on the shelves.
